Description Technical Specs Simple Solution
Used in Japan for hundreds of years, rain chains are a beautiful and functional alternative to traditional, closed gutter downspouts.  Guiding rain water visibly down chains or cups from the roof to the ground, rain chains transform a plain gutter downspout into a pleasing water feature. From the soft tinkling of individual droplets to the soothing rush of white water, they are a treat to listen to.   The Japanese often put a ceramic or stoneware pot beneath the chain which fills with water, so that when it rains, the water drips from the chain into the pot, creating a beautiful display.  Another attractive option is to make a square out of redwood or cedar beneath the chains and fill it with small pebbles. If it is damp regularly, moss will grow between the pebbles. You can also place a single paver tile or a few medium size stones under the chain to break the fall of the water.  Our rain chains are all made of thick, pure copper (and/or brass) to the highest standard in the industry.  Every chain comes with a gutter attachment piece (a V-hook).  Installation is usually straightforward and simple.  In general, cup styles will carry more water than link chains without splashing.  Our chains are 8 1/2' long - if you need a shorter length, cups can be removed.  If you need a longer length, extension kits may be ordered.   Extra cups make great decorative votive candle holders!
  • Medium Square Cups are pre-aged and have a reddish streaking- a beautiful effect. Not a patina coating, the torch itself causes this pre-aged effect.
  • Individually crafted by hand, each side is welded by hand to the next - this is not a cheap, stamped out product!
    Recommended Accessories: RCR1INSTALL Installation Kit
